I’ve been kicking around ideas for my Fall collection, and thinking a lot about color lately. Which is not an entirely natural thing for me, since I tend towards greys, beiges, and blacks in my own wardrobe (especially ones that don’t show grubby handprints or stains). But something strange has been happening to me — it started with a grudging tendency towards neon pink and has grown into something more closely approaching a normal person’s affection for color. If you look at my Pinterest pins, you’d even think that I loved color. Weird.
But that still leaves me with a wardrobe full of neutrals, so I’ve also been looking at the fashion runways for ways that a boring person like me can incorporate some color. Here are some looks that caught my eye:
I love the way these looks make it possible for me to add little bits of color. See all that greige paired with accessories, little underthings and layering? This I think I can handle.
How are you guys feeling about color? Do you wear it? And if so, how? And do you dry clean? (As a random aside, my husband has been away and he’s the only one who goes to the dry cleaner in this household, so when we said hi to our local dry cleaner yesterday, she rushed outside, very concerned and worried, and asked if we were all OK.)
