Add to the list of things I miss: my scanner. I had to wait until F went back to California to scan these for me (there’s more to come once I find a scanner here). Speaking of which, in the days since F’s departure, I, as the primary naysayer, become as good as the bubonic plague in Otis’s eyes.

I’ve been feeling a little unmotivated here – for some reason, the lack of anything to do but to say no to Otis has made it hard for me to concentrate on much. I was just about to put the finishing touches on my first collage here when I set it under the air conditioner, which proved itself to be broken and leak-prone. So we have a waterlogged collage that spent an hour or so in the trash. What’s interesting to me is that I tried to recreate it, but it just didn’t look or feel right, and I eventually gave up. I guess it’s why I work the way I do. It took a few days after that to get back into the swing of things.

Since there’s so little to write about, and so few accessories to show off on Sundays, I’ll probably be mostly writing about food while I’m here. I’ve been compiling pictures of breakfast foods and street foods and will fill you all in soon.

How are you, friends? Any folks have any good stories to share with me?

It’s not much fun being the primary naysayer, and oh so draining. Hang in there!

The collages are looking really neat though- at least you are doing something! :)

Your collages are always so fresh and clean. As far as being the one that gets to say “no” all the time, I understand that too! Thanks for your comment, I’m working on an update.

I love the top one- is that the one that got wet? I think the crinkles add to it, sort of accentuates the look of water streaming from the faucets. At least that is what I’m interpreting it as : )

Your collages (soggy or not) are always wonderful. This trio seems very energetic. And I agree with the above commenter, and really the water-logged collage of what looks like shower heads (to me anyway), well it’s pretty ironic…and it made me smile. Enjoy your trip, and all that great street food!

Very nice. The second one reminds me of babies, not sure why… ;p

    Great collages!
So F is back in California already? Are you then making the trip back to CA alone with Otis? Brave…
Can’t wait for more collages and foodie posts!

Yes, definitely do some foodie posts! I would love to see what kinds of food are being eaten in Taiwan, especially the street food.

    Also, great collages, as always.

I really like those collages, especially the last one. Is it radishes?

What size is Otis/ how tall is he? I’ll explain this later.
Have you seen any of the giant bugs yet? I was in Austin over the weekend and a 2″ tree roach came into the living room where I was staying. Tropical bugs are serious.
