I’ve been working on this little project for a little bit and finally finished it and framed it. It’s a collection of silhouettes from the first 18 months of Otis’s life. You can’t see it so well, but really, it’s a highlight of the crazy cowlicks I couldn’t control for the first year and a half of his life. The youngest image has him sporting the most fantastic mohawk ever.
I just found out that they’re going to feature my little project on Apartment Therapy SF during their Artwork Month. Keep an eye out for it. AT is one of my must reads – they have other regional versions if you don’t live here.
I guess this has been a sort of unspoken resolution of mine – to finally hang art up on our walls (January 7 was the first anniversary of moving into our house). In the spirit of that (and of the Buy One Frame, Get The Second for a Penny sale), I’ve also finally framed F’s birthday present. He’s going to hang it up in his new office. For now, it is here in his home office, under the Enzo Mari pig I just hung up for him.
We leave for Augusta, Georgia today for F’s sister’s wedding, so you may not hear from us for a few days. We will return with stories of matrimonial and BBQ bliss (the rehearsal dinner is at the extremely popular local BBQ joint – my dream come true!!).

you absolutely MUST dine at hot foods by calvin while you’re in augusta—and walk around downtown and see the 3/4 size james brown statue and the slave column and the confederate statue that says, “never a nation stood so white.” I LOVE AUGUSTA!
